I just mean that it’s crazy to say it’s the only good song on the album! Hahah

 

Fuck me I thought I submitted the Mats in one of my other leagues lol. Whoops! Hard category for me and that was the song that clicked.

 

Yeah and that no one likes the album.

It’s not mine, but it definitely could have been

 

Speak With the Dead by Foxing would’ve been a great submission for this round. When it came out as the lead single it fit well with the vibe of their last album and got me expecting a bunch of long, experimental, winding songs when the album ended up having mostly 3 minute pop bangers.

 

Kind of a similar deal with Living Proof by The War On Drugs. A lead single with a different vibe from the rest of the album. I almost picked that song but chose a War On Drugs song last season.

 

I actually almost went with that but figured people would complain it was too long or slow lol

 

Man I loved that Foxing album that year but I haven’t listened to it in quite a while

 

I don't like the first two Foxing albums but I love the two most recent

 

Dealer is excellent when the weather is starting to turn cold in the fall. Something about that first day I walk outside and the cold wind cuts right through me makes me want to reach for that album.

 

Dealer is my favorite by about 10 miles

As always I can’t speak for the group, but I certainly don’t mind if you need to bump out the deadline by a few hours so you and spo can get your votes in when the schedule is a little more open. This one crept up on me too idk why haha

DONE! And actually 1 minute sooner than the original deadline anyway, so it's like nothing even happened.....

That’s too late for this old bag o’ bones! And I’m going to lose my cool again if my pick is stolen because I just came up with a great one from a non-canceled band (a greater feat than I expected).
