Could not have said this better myself lolol that was my favorite song of the round probably, excited to check out that record. Shocked it didn't do better. Still, happy for myself :) Gonna try! Feeling good about Round Two and while I don't expect many votes in the Funeral Round, I have an actual answer that I already know I'm going with regardless.
Personally, I think it absolutely fits because of Anthony. I definitely would consider a famous artist's earlier band to count in this round.
That's not at all how I interpreted the prompt for the round and don't plan to count those submissions.
hahahahahahahaha "Submit a song from an artist before they became popular." song: plays pretty for baby, artist: anthony green, "before" = yep!
Anthony Green is not the artist. The artist is Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer. A band that continued on past his departure and got about a billion times better after he left
Still disagree!! Anthony Green is an artist. Zolof is absolutely a band that Anthony Green the artist used to be in and released music with. Anthony Green the artist was not famous when he was in the band. The songs on the album are absolutely songs from Anthony Green the artist
Vote how you want, but that's not how I'm looking at it and don't plan to give those submissions a vote. That could be a fun category for a future round though. Plus I generally disagree with crediting a single individual with the work of a collective, especially in a case like this when the collective went on to prove their mettle (and beyond) without the individual in question.
It's the worse version! I was actually gonna submit "Babygirl (High and Driving Version)" but thought people might give me shit for having it on a later AG album when he was popular. I didn't realize following the prompt would cause controversy!
I have no idea what your actual place in the standings is, I just went for somewhere around the middle.
I’m actually really excited for this playlist. A TON of great options. First round in a while where I could immediately think of multiple songs.
