I was already mentally prepping for everyone to be mad at me for letting it go live!

Plays Pretty for Baby. One of my all time favorite tracks! I was going to use it for this round but had also considered it for the high school round as I remember procrastinating going to school one morning while listening to that song in my car on repeat for a solid ten minutes.

How do I submit "the first 7 Portugal. The Man albums"?

 

Anyone who enjoyed my Alvvays pick should just check out that album, Blue Rev. I think each album of theirs is better than the last. That one is definitely their best and most accessible.

 

BUT HOW WOULD I SPLIT UP ALL MY VOTES?! hahahaha

I submitted and don't think I'm going to change, but something off of any of those would be a great pick. I remember the first time I heard Censored Colors. (that was the first one that I discovered of theirs). Such a great band.

 

Yeah I've loved them since day 1 so seeing their trajectory has been truly bizarre

 

Wait those guys had SEVEN albums before their radio success?

They used to release an album every year, then took a FOUR year break outta nowhere, then released Feel It Still, haha

 

That song drives me nuts. I remember hearing it in the trailer for Peter Rabbit (lol) and everywhere during the 2020 election. Still better than "High Hopes"

 

Songs Used for Political Rallies could either be great or awful, lol

Kind of the same as walk-out music, but I like where you're head's at.

I'm picking between a track off the first album by a popular artist on here, a song I still love by one of my favourite solo artists, or the first song I heard by one of the biggest one-hit wonders of the modern day.

Whatever I chose is going to get me less points than the other two songs, I can feel it.

 

I had one idea today then abandoned it, swapped to another idea that's not on Spotify (Something Corporate 's Ready Break album) now onto a third idea that I think I'm gonna go with

@trevorshmevor, I’m surprised your RBCF song didn’t get voted higher. I really liked it and thought it was very fitting for the theme. But secretly I’m happy because maybe other people might have a fighting chance of dethroning you.

 

Dude same! No way did I expect for it to run away with the round, but I really did think I had it pegged as a safe middle ground pick. A few days ago I went to look back at the album thread and had a laugh at this post I made the day it came out in June 2020. Pretty sure I curbside ordered a box of Otter Pops that day and roasted in the backyard all weekend

 

That said, yes @Aaron Mook hold onto that lead! I’m convinced the only reason I’ve won three times in a row is from crushing the first round and then just barely staying ahead lol
