I had a few people quit my work league after the latest season because they thought it was getting too "mean" in our inner-office chats each round hahaha!!! And let me tell you, it wasn't that bad at all, just people messing around as you would expect

 

I liked many songs on this playlist, but don't think that the playlist really worked as a "beach" mix as a whole.

Just proves we are a bunch of non-beach-going nerds. ha

I feel like a normie (blech, it feels pretentious saying that) beach mix you would hear at the beach would be a lot of generic hip hop and pop not really explicitly associated with the beach.

I love this beach mix. Everyone followed the prompt so we’ll it was hard to vote because so many of the songs fit the theme so well

 

Some bands that I’ve always thought were beachy for some reason are Oso Oso and Bombay Bicycle Club. Weatherbox too but I’ve only listened to flies in All Directions.

 

Anyone else getting the Visit Fort Worth ads in the app lol

Realizing that a lot of pop punk feels beachy to me too like Super American, Camp Trash, and Origami Angel (it helps that the most recent Origami Angel project has a pic of the beach as album art)

 

I KNEW I should’ve gone with “my PG county summer” ! Man I love that track lol

Preston has since done alright song writing, loads of pop stuff and I was pleasantly surprised to see a credit on the recent Sum 41 song Dopamine.

I’m seriously gutted somebody chose my song already, holy shit. I’ve been really looking forward to using it since I joined a couple seasons ago and this round was finally perfect for it. Did not see that coming at all. Ugh. Well played.

 

My long-winded paragraph was the max amount that I was allowed to write, and I wasn't even able to add the last part "my mom walked down the aisle to this song at her wedding" hahaaha. Yeah I got the feels

 

Haha really interested to know what you picked. I wanted to pick something else, by the same band but under a different name, but none of it is available on Spotify.

Okay, I’m less upset now and am happy with my backup choice considering what I just went with is a song I’ve listened to a lot recently and even had it on repeat for about thirty minutes the other day. I anticipate some saying it shouldn’t qualify though.
