All Falls Down. The first time I listened to TCD was on a beach!

 

First song that came to mind for me was the beach by all time low but I didn’t pick that one

 

First to come to mind was "Island in the Sun." Great song, boring pick. Sorry in advance if anyone picked that one!

 

Dan Mueller is the only person from last season who hasn't joined this one yet, I want to make sure he's skipping before I set this round live

 

I definitely delayed a beach day with my friends for an hour or so in 2013 because there was word of a Yeezus leak

 

I remember staying late at work and blasting Yeezus over our supermarket speakers the night that it leaked. Good times.

 

Doesn’t matter at all to me when we start, but fwiw Dan posted a bit back that season 3 would be his last for a while due to wedding planning stuff coming up

This playlist was the perfect ring in for the real start of summer up here in Portland. Nice job everyone!

 

I think I say some variation of this pretty often but I’m really regretting my choice. I’ve had the original two songs I was deciding between in my head all day, and they were both great picks, but I started to overthink the whole beach music thing and went with a song that I like well enough but which doesn’t really mean anything to me and when it came on in the playlist I felt nothing. Meh.

One of the two I was going back and forth between was Built to Spill’s Carry the Zero. It’s mid tempo, but something about the guitar and Doug’s voice hits harder under the sun. I won’t say my original choice because I still want to find a place for it in the future.

 

I didn't submit this song (because I have delusions of actually doing well this season), but thanks to this round it is back in my life

 

This playlist is very different from what I expected

 

what are beaches like over there? Cold?

 

I have never heard anyone blast rock songs on the beach. This isn't just my usual hating either, I really haven't. It's always Latin music, Italian music, bubbly rap music, Reggae and, like, Summer Jam by the Underdog Project Oh and of course terrible Schlager. It must be a European thing, haha.

Really, I expected a wild mix like the yeehaw playlist.

Also yes, either cold or way too hot.

 

I keep my fiancé updated on our little game here and she literally said "if nobody picks summer jam you are all huge dorks"

 

This was the first one that came to mind for me but I feel like we’ve had this band a few times already in past seasons:
