There have been rounds where it's been questionable whether some submissions have even been music. I think we can allow a bit flexibility on the definition of a horn.

 

Yeah, saxophones are definitely "horns" in the context of rock/pop music, and a key part of most horn sections. If we're using the definition from classical/symphony orchestra music there are only like 3 instruments that count, and what most of us consider the traditional "horns" (trumpet, trombone, etc.) aren't called horns there.

 

From "marching or concert band" purposes - The differentiation for me as I understood was always between BRASS section and WOODWIND section (to a similar point made above). When we say HORNS - all of them including saxophones can be included - saxophones are HORN-shaped, after all.

All of this being said, this playlist started off a bit slow for me, but got really good and quite enjoyable as it went on. Some nice fun choices for sure, and a few new finds too!

After reading the comments, I'm still not quite clear on whether a certain user thinks saxaphones are horns or not
