Jeremy, are you or are you not an actor? It is important this question be answered before the round ends.
Very odd playlist but better than expected. Some unique choices for sure and that Crispin Glover song will haunt my dreams.
I will proudly be the only person to give high marks to the Crispin Glover song, lol. Absolutely wild stuff
This is my favorite playlist this season probably. I don’t know why I like it so much lol. After listening to it once and putting how many votes I thought each one deserved, I used 35 votes. It was hard to pair it down. I was really surprised how much I liked the Vanessa and Lindsay songs
Someone pushed mine into the top ten, tied with several others. Thanks for that, because it is deserving.
Recently in my work league, we did a round for Nepo Babies, which has some crossover with Multi-hyphenates ironically (Schwartzmen on both playlists, Will Smith's kids on the other playlist...) Anyway, someone in that league posted a song from Zoe Kravitz's band and it actually was pretty fucking cool, the whole album is on my "to-listen-to" list now, but I feel like this group would dig it
Also I’ll offer up in my defense of being one of the Schwartzman picks - I know he was a very obvious choice, but I was intentionally trying to throw a curveball by leaning towards a musician that wasn’t the front person/singer in their project
Triple post but LOL I didn’t mean to give Wicked Wisdom a point. Wouldn’t feel the need to specifically mention this had my comment not been about me disliking it
I totally forgot to add the description to my song, and since I'm nowhere near contention I'm going to drop it here and spoil my pick: Sturgill Simpson - "Keep It Between the Lines" When the horns first come in on this album, a little past the halfway mark of opener "Welcome To Earth (Pollywog)", it's a quick vibe change and really brings the song to life, but they're more of an embellishment. They disappear for the next song, in favor of a gorgeous string arrangement, but then come roaring back here. They're performed by soul-legend Sharon Jones' band The Dap-Kings and completely steal the show, bringing some of that soulful flair to Sturgill's already soulful (meta)modern country jam.
