I have to tip my hat to Yeremi and Olivia, I didn’t think they had a shot at winning when they dropped to 4th after Connect 4. I thought there was a chance they could get 2nd because I had no faith in Theo’s team and Mickela’s ankle could give her trouble but the way it was edited it made it seen like Turbo and Sydney were out of sight the whole time. Would be interesting to hear just how far ahead Turbo was and what happened.

I’m glad Theo didn’t win, he was shady all season from cheating during challenges and screwing people over and there’s no way he didn’t screw with Cedric’s rope.

Overall it was a pretty good season though.

Half way done with Bananas’ podcast with Sydney, it doesn’t sound like she’s eager to come back.

Haven't listened to the pod yet but the general feeling has been Sydney not sure about ebe returning while this was airing. I get it, to have the season she's had to lose it all at someone else's expenses that's gotta jade some kinda way. If it was a singles game it'd be different. But she's actually got a successful job outside of reality TV she's a lawyer so she doesn't NEED the show.....but I really DO hope we see her again. She really was like the female version of Wes.

Now into the reunion! It's weird being in downtime with absolutely nothing in the pipeline. Usually we'd have All Stars to look forward to but nothing. A new season of AS is coming I guess just with the merger everything has been in a standstill. 42 filming is in a couple months, now that the merger is done we may start to hear casting news and maybe even hear more about moving to Paramount+ proper.

Sydney said she just didn’t like the people together in such close living quarters (she liked them individually but not grouped together as they were too clicky), she didn’t like being away for a quarter of the year and she a bad experience with Turbo. He was basically emotionally abusive towards her in not wanting her to call home or talk to anyone but him. Whenever she wasn’t with him she was constantly looking over her shoulder to see if he was spying on her and the only times she felt at ease was when he was doing his interviews because it gave her freedom to talk to Yeremi for at least an hour or when he was tanning.

honestly, im good with a longer break. Challenge fans got spoiled the last 5 years with so many seasons and spin offs, it got over saturated. Challenge seasons didn't feel so special.

I'm glad she went into the Turbo stuff because editing didn't show it yet people were catching on with cast comments on social media. Well for the show length, remember they're looking to cut down to only 5 weeks lol so she may be happier with that? Re: the clicky stuff.....well that's part of the game. Some of the people have known each other for years, some come from similar shows etc. I'm glad she had fellow survivor players though and was able to get in with them... But the social aspect on this show just comes from experience and doing it more b
You're not wrong lol, the past 5 years have seen some old faces coming back that it's been great to see. I just don't want to get to a point where they don't even want to come back for All Stars.

The show must go on! Lol.

She admitted it would be hard for the producers to show the abuse going on because it wouldn’t make for an interesting storyline because he never exploded on her or anything crazy like that but I am glad she’s calling him out. She also didn’t go to production about it because she felt like they couldn’t really do anything and if they talked to Turbo about it it might make it even worse so she knew the partnership had an expiration date on it and decided to just suck it up.

I finished the podcast and she did explain her reasoning behind not staking a claim on Yeremi (basically Turbo is better with puzzles and eating challenges and she was worried that Yeremi would have held her back on those if they were part of the final). She said Turbo can to sit down and rest 2 or 3 times and that’s how Olivia and Yeremi were able to catch them. She kept telling Turbo not to stop that they should just walk slower but Turbo would tell her she’s being negative and he would just sit down.

She's right, we did see Turbo kill those puzzles and I really don't think Yeremi would have been better then him. I think I saw somewhere that they ended up finishing only 7 minutes after Yeremi/Olivia.......yeah that amount of time is definitely on Turbo for stripping instead of just slowing down.
