I didn’t realize this was on twice a week, so that’s a nice surprise.

I like the secret vote aspect and I’m curious how it’ll work out later in the season. It does blow my mind that the rookies can’t ever figure out that the vets run the game and try to turn it around. Hopefully this group will get a clue and not let themselves be railroaded.

 

i believe that the 2x/week is just for the first 3 weeks of airtime.

i love the secret vote and how it has already kinda impacted the red team. it’s bringing me back to WOTW2 and how you could sabotage your own team and throw anyone into elimination including teammates.

i have always really disliked amanda but im starting to love her because she brings personality and drama and i feel like the challenge is really missing that lately. im so tired of bananas and tori being boring all season- but thankfully tori doesn’t have jordan to talk about the entire time.

final comment, can we please retire Josh already? he was insufferable on BB and his only memorable moments on the challenge involve him crying or Wes absolutely tearing him apart in that one Total Madness episode.

 

There was a rumor that the next MTV season is all new people. I hope that’s true cause I am tired of the same people every season.

 

idk how much i can share without being considered a spoiler, but the cast has new era “rookies” that have been dealt a bad hand due to the vets ganging up on them every season lately. the furthest back a cast member gets is like Vendettas era, but it’s mainly cast members that had their debuts in the last few seasons.

i’m tired of the vacation alliance and i think the fact that this group hasn’t played several seasons together could lead to some real drama, and people worrying less about their future relationships with the rest of the cast.

 

Yeah I think read somewhere it's mainly people who either haven't been to a final or haven't won a final.

You can chisel it in my gravestone, I will never tire of Bananas and Wes.

I just looked at the finalized cast of all stars 4 and demand mtv to release it now.

Also in regards to 39, I sat down and looked at the cast and details and mannn........I dunno. It'll be interesting. They've got super fresh faces that at least we've seen once and they've got people like Michelle, but I really wonder how the Vet aspect is handled. Do they live with the cast? Do they live separately? Or do they only pop out on on challenge days? Cuz honestly I only see a handful of rookie personalities that could make things interesting.

 

Just watched the first episode of the CBS new season, this feels more like the The Challenge than the USA season 1 did.

is it worth is to watch the world champion season? I saw it’s only like 11 episodes

also that female cast list for AS4 is A+, literally perfect!

 

I stopped watching the first USA season after a few episodes because I couldn't get into it (not BB, Amazing Race or Survivor watcher), but I enjoyed the World Champions season. It was similar to this new USA season.

 

HAHAHA I love Amanda. Tori's dig at her was funny tho (and true) and while I do agree Amanda doesn't have anywhere near the reputation of accolades of the other vets she will always bring the drama. And that's worth watching.

 

I to this day still think Jonna is way overrated and have no idea how she has pulled off multiple challenge wins.

 

she is pretty weak physically but she had some great luck (people quitting/DQd) and a decent knack for puzzles.

 

I'd have thought she was underrated going into All Stars. I think I remember her older seasons she was actually good. Not finals good but she had a presence. I def wasn't expecting the first All Stars win, but when she came back the following season she was in shape and I was like uh oh.

It might also have to do I had a huge crush on her in her OG RW season. Cancun was fun.

Big time Challenge fan and just found out about this thread. Anyway I have high hopes for this season after the bored that the first season was. CBS really needed to add some MTV series vets to the cast but I understand why they probably didn’t.

I really wish the format was Team Big Brother vs. Team Survivor vs. Team MTV instead. But maybe they will do that in the future.

this was the move I wanted! I was "surprised" someone didnt throw themselves into an elimination to get there earlier.
Thus far this season has been great. I think the show falls flat if you do not have any vets. Like Season 1 on CBS. I have ZERO interest in watching that and Ive been a Challenge fan for two decades. Never miss an episode.

My main complaint about this season is the 10PM time slot on Thursdays. I'm pushing 40 and get up early for work, staying up until 11pm is rough. I know there is DVR and On Demand, but I havent missed a premiere episode of the Challenge since the 00s.

 

I also have been attempting to watch live and aside from the later time the absolute worst thing is having to hear that Buddy Camp song or whatever the show is. It makes me miss the longer MTV commercials.

 

I hate those commercials so much. Especially when they rhyme "HUBBY" with "BUDDY". Ugh.

 

Just an FYI Buddy Games was a B-movie on Hulu or something that the host Josh stated in. That s why he is hosting it.

 

I think the 2 epsiodes a week (THursdays & Sundays) is now done and its just THursdays 10pm now. Or maybe there is one more Sunday episode. Love having 2 episodes a week lol. Im more of a network TV guy than streamer so it gets tough having shows to watch daily. This was a huge help

 

Yeah I'm also surprised part of the strategy some have had didn't entail throwing themselves down into an elimination. I've also been loving this season and I totally agree that you NEED a vet presence in the show as we all saw what USA 1 was like and no thanks. Do any of y'all listen to any of the podcasts? Bananas has his own, Tori and Devyn have one, and then Derrick has one too. They've been great lil insights to each episode and usually feature a guest who was either eliminated or relevant to that episode each week. One of the things the vets have been talking about on them is how for the first time in forever, THEY felt what it's like to be a rookie with the numbers stacked against them.

I actually felt sad when Bananas went over to Wes after the elimination and told him to keep his head up. I think I read in Twitter that Wes is actually calling it now and damn.....

 

It’s now just on on Thursday, which I’m glad for cause hopefully that means no more football delays!

I wasn’t home so I just assumed football since it had been a football delay on a previous week.

 

Really enjoying this season. Nice twist after this weeks episode. Only thing I dislike is the 10pm timeslot. Im pushing 40 and like to be in bed before 10pm. Yes there is DVR and on demand, but I havent missed a Challenge premiere in 2 decades.
