That was a fun finale. Overall a good season, lots of new blood actually showed up to play and DID play. Winners earned it and happy for them, their story and their journey has been a blast to watch.


Now onto All-Stars!

 

I almost thought Bananas won since Bill Simmons was the guest. I hope production listened to that episode. There’s a lot of good criticism about the last few seasons in it.

 

What are the main points?

 

Make the dailies worth it
Film on the bus again
More outings for nightlife

 

Surprised with the outcome, but makes sense. I'm ready for All Stars now.

 

There should definitely be prizes for dailies. Who was it that punched the ceiling of the bus? Mark? Haha. And I appreciate every shot of CT dancing when they go to a club.

I've definitely noticed less fun house stuff being aired. We just get conversations about the game or drama.

 

Night life has def taken a turn for the boring after they stopped letting them film on set with the locals at the bar or club. With JUST the cast it's gotten stale.

Let them party.

Also yeah I remember the podcast at the beginning of the season and that complaint about the dailies still rang true. Before they split the ride or dies NO ONE wanted to win the daily because you were just winning a chance to paint a target on your back so no one saw a point in winning. Which I def agree with.

 

I always figured they cant party with locals due to Covid and not wanting to take any risk of a contestant getting covid. Which is why they have these private house parties.

 

Actually, I think you're right in that the house parties came about due to covid. But I'm also pretty sure they were renting out the bars way before that, cuz I remember someone on a podcast saying they miss being able to interact with the locals when they'd go out.

 

Not gonna lie, one of the tamest reunions we've seen before.

I'm glad they asked that last question. I was really angry about Jay and Michelle not being able to complete in that elimination. But maybe Michelle should've just yelled louder or something. Jordan was right too, there's always a strategy.

The dagger thing is really funny.

 

Reunion was pretty underwhelming. Loved some of the reactions to Amber's pregnancy like Devin, Tori, Olivia not giving a crap. Kinda like Cara when Jordan and Tori got engaged. I personally found Amber to be annoying all season.

 

Zzzz.

Ok that Turbo segment was funny. Can't wait for his eventual return and the ensuring drama he'll bring.

 

Wtf is this challenge world championship? Last I remember hearing was like only Rachel was added and that was it. I never knew they were bringing back ALL these champs. Of course this was right after the US version was done and all the talk was how all the survivor people were saying they felt misled about the prize money and saying it wasn't worth it.

Yeah, two episodes dropped Wednesday. Quick turnaround from the end of the past season which I don't mind.

 

I'm assuming this was filmed right after 38 as Tori and Jordan are there, and seem fine. Amber is there and not pregnant. And none of them are on All Stars this season. Goddamn TJ is CONSTANTLY traveling then.

I've been a challenge fan for 2 decades, but CAN NOT get into this World Championship. Took me three nights just to get through first episode.

I haven't watched any of these spinoffs that aren't on MTV. A friend of mine just gave me their Paramount login. Should I watch All Stars?

 

All stars for sure. Season 1 isn’t as good as 2 and 3 though imo

 

I was thinking of skipping to the finales and just watching who won.

 

All Stars is great! I didnt watch the CBS version or the other country versions. Not really interested. Just invested in the MTV cast the last 2 decades.

 

Absolutely yes. Having grown up with these cast members, it's been AWESOME seeing them back.
