Better first watch than Friendship for me, and I really enjoyed Friendship. Walks the thinnest line between tension and humor beautifully. It's actually nice to see Ron as a guy who starts the show extremely capable, despite some of the weird resume stuff. "Oh that fucking egg." What is the red ball? Why the hell were they photocopying 80's pornos? Will Doris break her hip? Holy shit, I can't wait.
Thought episode 1 was good with some really funny laugh out loud moments. I noticed at least episode one (not sure if rest of season) was directed by Andrew Deyoung (Friendship) and it did feel like a nice mix of ITYSL and Friendship..
Tim could literally make a ton of things with this exact tone and it will work for me every time, the premiere was so funny The wheelbarrow bit, him being uncomfortable on his pillow and "she's like 100 years old" got the biggest laughs from me
Like 15% of the time I'm laughing just because his voice and facial expressions, doesn't even matter what he's saying
Absolutely loved episode 1. Very much like Friendship, slightly less ominous/dour in tone , probably just the music and the color
was pretty stoked to see sophia lillis in something again. echoing everyone's statements here. we're living in a generational time for television. cherishing it.
