Crazy how big these guys have gotten. I saw them play FlashFest at Kent State in 2015, they headlined after Rae Sreemured & Jermieh and the place was pretty empty for them, the bleachers where empty and the floor was half full. Fast forward two years later and they are an arena band.
I'm definitely going to this and this year is turning out to be a great year for shows. Senses Fail's Still Searching show, The 1975, The Killers (104.5 birthday show), The Chainsmokers, and Firefly all within a few months of each other
Actually, it didn't. That "Selfie" song blew up online without any label support, and Dim Mak signed them to officially release it. It snowballed from there. Plus, a lot of their remixes were all over the place at EDM festivals. A lot of these producers get super big without major labels nowadays. Martin Garrix got massive when "Animals" came out, and he wasn't even IDed properly as the producer who made the track at first. Their recent comments on Billboard turned a lot of people off, though. I don't see this tour selling well.

Completely disagree with this. I wouldn't be surprised if this whole tour sells out to be honest. They're probably the biggest / most successful mainstream EDM act on the planet right now, and have gotten a lot of help by being one of the only true EDM acts to be picked up by Top 40 pop radio. However, all their comments are pretty shitty and they have to check themselves
