Haha if you worked at the Best Buy in Gainesville, FL then you might've had me as a customer! I remember bringing in my ipod and an aux cord so I could test out my music. I was blasting Underoath in the car stereo department.
' Haha, suburban Minnesota for me, but we for sure had lots of people come in and test the speakers out that way.
Wife bought a new car about a month ago. Yesterday she got a flat tire. The car had no spare! They really gotta include a spare tire in new cars. I ended up driving to her, giving her my car, while I waited for the tow truck. Talk about a hassle for a simple flat tire.
Dad recently got a new CRV, and they don't do spare tires anymore. They have a patch kit and a quick inflate thing.
find a mom and pop tire change spot in your area and try to buy a spare donut from them. i bought a full size steelie and kept the best of a four tire replacement and have it in the trunk. hopefully, this will be my next car:
My dad and uncle brought their cars to a car show today by sheer coincidence. Neither of them knew they would be there lol I don't know anything about cars but thought they looked cool
Haha yeah my uncle has apparently owned it since 1999 and just keeps up with it. Really cool looking. My dad's obsessed with older cars, he can just spot the year make and model of anything on the road from the 80s or older
I come from a car family. My dad and both older brothers are all pretty car obsessed in some form or another, I just have a lot of passive knowledge by osmosis. My eyes are still drawn to imports because of being young and impressionable when my brothers were buying and "fixing them up" when they were teenagers, but these days I just pine for a nice condition 2004 Civic since that was my first real car that I miss because of how cheap it was to drive.
don't know shit about cars, but this is the only place i could think to ask. i have a 2009 Acura MDX, and was attempting to jump my partner's car since the battery has trouble in really cold weather (it's about 14° F right now, and was around -2 or -3 this morning). generally, i can pop my hood and have it stay open while i either service a component or use it to jump a battery. i haven't had to pop the hood in a while, so i'm not sure if this is a new problem or not, but i went to open it up and the lift supports that keep it open seem to be failing, and i can't tell if it's due to the incredibly cold weather or if they've finally given way. i'm wondering if it's the former because i took it in for an oil change last week and didn't get any comments about the functionality of the lift supports. i figured if they were failing they'd probably alert me to something like that, but i could be wrong. anyone have any advice?
