I remember kind of liking Funny People when it came out, but i've barely thought about it in 13 years and i can't tell you a single thing that happened in that movie.

 

I still maintain that Funny People is fantastic if you come to terms with the fact that it's long as shit before you watch it. I genuinely love that movie

 

Guess that person won’t be watching Morbious

 

as long as it isn’t the other netflix movie coming out that day

Yeah 2 hours feels a little below average compared to movies these days TBH.

 

shorter than don't look up which I still haven't seen because no comedy should be 2 and half hours

 

Can confirm this movie sucks. Has a couple of funny moments, but it feels like it will never end. Another collection of Apatow bits strung together by a thin plot, except not funny. Duchovny always looks like he just woke up from a nap and the younger Apatow can’t act.

 

are we talking this is 40 bad? worse? way worse?

 

Different type of bad. It really wants to be a “Tropic Thunder” or “Bowfinger,” but Apatow doesn’t have the comedic chops to do that anymore. Just a supreme waste of talent.

 

This is currently scored lower (32) than Morbius (37) on Metacritic. Wild.
