According to its description, The Bubble follows a group of actors and actresses stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel attempting to complete a film.

 

I’ll wait to see a full trailer, but, man, I don’t know if I really want another pandemic-themed movie.

I like that the dinosaurs are puppets and not cgi , and yeah I know satire is tough and it does seem a lot like Tropic Thunder but also I trust everyone involved

this wouldn’t have been funny even when we had way less understanding of the virus. plus, influenza jokes? was this movie left on the shelf for 4+ years?

 

i enjoyed his last two films more than what was probably consensus, but he lost me here.

Well yeah it’s been the defining critique of his career lol

I like pretty much everything he does

 

Haven't gotten around to seeing Staten Island yet because ugh Pete Davidson but I've liked all of his movies other than This Is 40.

 

"This Is 40" was a prime example of a rich director who was clearly out of touch. A total waste of time.

 

believe it or not, i'm a little surprised it didn't take longer (ha!) for the thread to reference the length issues with his films

 

It's a cliche, but one that's proven again and again. I was so mad when the main version of "40 Year Old Virgin" available when it was released was the unrated version, which was way longer and not funny.

A decade later, when they had that whole intern part of "Trainwreck" with Ezra Miller where she's having sex with him and he says he's underage, I thought "Well Judd clearly hasn't learned a thing about cutting out unnecessary subplots and characters."

I mean, yea, it’s gone be too long and large chunks will stick out as long takes of improv. Apatow is consistent if nothing else.
