Life Changes (probably wouldn't have changed my overall opinion, but the whole censoring with message notification noise thing made this pretty easy)
Listened to Generation Rx earlier today for the first time and that album is much better than I expected it to be. Not sure why I never got around to it when it first came out
A little one note for me tbh. Probably my second least favorite or even least favorite. It’s good but nothing stands out to me really, which is is unusual for a GC album.
It's a close one, but we haven't had a vote in a while (I would have voted for Life Changes as well). We have a winner for the Youth Authority bracket! Life Changes-5 Makeshift Love-3 Our last bracket before we get into b-sides will be Generation Rx. Note: I excluded the intro to make this bracket even. Hopefully that's okay with everyone. This bracket is a shorter one. Round 1 A) Better Demons vs. Self Help B) Leech vs. California (The Way I Say I Love You) C) Actual Pain vs. Cold Song D) Shadowboxer vs. Prayers
Going through their discography like this really renewed my appreciation for them. They really go for stuff I think, and even though it doesn’t always work out, it always has heart. Whenever it does work out however the songs are amazing.
Better Demons-0 Self Help-3 Leech-2 California (The Way I Say I Love You)-1 Actual Pain-3 Cold Song-0 Shadowboxer-3 Prayers-0
I'm including the original tracks in the b-sides bracket. Otherwise I'm not sure the rest is worth doing lol. Totally agree. I know they have gotten a lot of hate over the years, but they are the band that first got me interested in music back in 7th grade. They have always put out stuff that I have been happy with.
I’ve only listened to this album once so I need to revisit it for sure. Will do that later this afternoon!
Better Demons-0 Self Help-4 Leech-3 California (The Way I Say I Love You)-1 Actual Pain-4 Cold Song-0 Shadowboxer-3 Prayers-1
