So I wonder what’s going to happen now. Feel like Soldier Boy & Homelander try to bond and it goes poorly. Feel like the Butcher dad flashbacks were foreshadowing for that maybe. Be dope if Soldier Boy zaps Homelander’s powers, allowing him to be killed. But then wonder what will happen to Soldier Boy, who is clearly just as unhinged at this point.
I'm still thinking there is going to be some reveal that Black Noir is related to MM. It's the only direction I see for those arcs.
I mean they’re related thematically as they both have a huge grudge against him, so I just hope the season doesn’t just end with Soldier Boy dying and things kinda going back to square one all over again. Soldier Boy’s ability to turn Supes back into humans needs to be an ongoing threat imo, as it does seem to be literally the only thing that could stop Homelander
I’d be curious how the show could continues with homelander no longer being a threat. They could make him just a cult leader/politician but I feel like there’s enough people who want him dead that it’d be silly to justify him living
Is the threat of Soldier Boy taking people's powers really that bad when there's Compound V lying around?
The moral issue of killing someone without powers maybe. But if Kimiko could get her powers back with just one shot of compound V, he really should always be considered a threat.
I knew they brought up that taking the temp V multiple times could kill you, but I didn't know/remember if Compound V was the same deal.
I think they said in an earlier season that taking Compound V as an adult is super risky and that’s why they injected children with it
Well that ending is fucking terrifying for next season. butcher v Ryan is definitely how the show is gonna end right?
Well. Shit. Wish there was more to watch. There are elements that, on a whole, I find unsatisfying here. Black Noir’s plotline being the most glaring.
Black Noir deserved better honestly. I was really enjoying his small arc this season and thought it was actually going somewhere good. Also loved seeing the animation from his perspective and was really excited to see more of it but oh well. Really my only gripe. I loved this season as a whole.
I could not disagree more lol. One of the best shows on right now and each season has been even better than the last so far. The strong villain is Homelander and I'm glad he's still around.
It’s in a tough spot because it’s not like they can just kill Homelander until the very end, but at the same time they need truly something supernatural to keep the tension going that he could even hypothetically be defeated I know they just set up Neuman to being ever closer to complete power, but they really did drop her character completely after about 3eps in this season despite setting her up so hard at the end of last season. With her power she seems to be the only one who could (solo) kill Homelander at this point, so I hope going forward it’s basically those two as the main antagonists while they have a rocky relationship between themselves
I kinda wished they'd've de-powered homelander but not kill him (have him fly out the window with soldier boy instead of Maeve). His struggle without powers next season would've been interesting to see.
I was really hoping they wouldn't go that way and I'm glad they didn't. I think the direction they're taking him is way more interesting.
