Reminds me of the time I saw them coheadline Salisbury University’s field day in May 2003. I’m from Baltimore & Salisbury’s on the eastern shore, it was the most random festival for them to headline. It was The Souls, The Used, My Chemical Romance, Thrice, and Story of the Year…and the entire show was hosted by Dr Dre & Ed Lover from Yo! MTV Raps

Honestly, that kinda makes sense given the era. The Souls were an even-keeled headliner and the rest were all on the come-up. A year later (or earlier!) and it would have been confusing but, I dunno, for 2003 that makes sense.

College radio programming always leads to some odd pairings. This is one of the more sane ones. Haha.

Just listened to Gold Record this morning.

Timeless album. Sounds like it could’ve been released today. Might actually be my favorite Bouncing Souls record.

Gold record has always felt like part of the current or more modern era albums for the band, but with it being 20 years old it is closer to their classic run of albums at this point. Funny how time works. Absolutely great record though.
