Going to day 3 at Irving Plaza. Souls & Anti-Flag on Saturday, Champagne Jam on Sunday. Gonna be great.
Going to Cleveland for sure. Trying to see if I can find a way to catch them with Intruder and Off With Their Heads as well.
I'm going to go to Buffalo as well hopefully. I'm so beyond excited for the show Wednesday but I also would love to see that lineup haha
I really wish I could go to the Double Door shows too. Saw 2 nights of Less Than Jake there at the beginning of the year and it was so much fun. I'm sure this would be even better
Haha yeah, I am really trying to find a way to make one of those shows. Also, hoping my brother can join too. Souls, Intruder, and OWTH is such a staked bill.
True and Cayetana is cool as well. I forget who they opened for, but I remember seeing them at the Grog Shop a few years ago.
That gutted feeling of knowing I'm going to spend an insane amount of money on merch and at the bar tomorrow is overtaking my body. Especially if Bouncing Souls have a good chunk of vinyl on them. They're my all time favorite band and I'm missing a ton of their discog So stoked
Haha I feel you man. They are probably mine and my brother's favorite punk band too. I currently have self titled, Hopeless Romantic, and Summer Vacation on vinyl. I would love to add Maniacal Laughter and Anchors. I know it's Cleveland on a week day (pretty typical here) show, but I get super nervous the turn out will suck when I see the Agora Facebook posts about the show and not much reaction. I really hope I am wrong and this thing is packed, despite how hot it gets in there.
I'm assuming they'll for sure have Simplicity, which I'll buy. Hoping they also have S/T, Anchors and Maniacal Laughter. After that I would just need Gold Record and the debut! I agree though, I'm also nervous. Something about the Agora is either turning people away or not getting promoted well enough because all of the shows there have been hit or miss lately. As long as like 400 people are there tomorrow I'll be happy!
I would almost rather it just be at the Grog Shop. Hell, it's a worse drive for me, but I love Beachland Ballroom. Something about Agora shows just get me super nervous lately.
Grog would be so awesome. When they did 2 back to back nights back in 2009, that was incredible. The last Beachland show was also pretty cool. I love the Agora, especially the Ballroom but yeah turn out wise it's been weird. Maybe it's just a coincidence. On another note, I just realized Souls are playing w/ OWTH + MI on Philly on a Saturday and Set Your Goals is doing a Mutiny show in Philly the night before. My new goal is for a weekend trip to Philly to hit both of these. I need to use one vacation day by the end of the year and I don't see a better use for it anywhere else haha
I was eyeing that Philly date as well. I have work flexibility with vacation days and I can grab a hotel on points. I didn't know about the SYG show, though. I missed the Cleveland date for that tour.
I am strongly leaning that way. I am hoping my brother wants to roll too so I have some company. If he says no I will really have to think about it haha.
So good! Souls setlist was honestly perfect, I was shocked but pleased with the amount of crowd interaction they had. The Flatliners were also top notch but the crowd kind of ruined it for me a little haha if the pit wasn't so open it would have been more enjoyable. Got Simplicity, Maniacal Laughter and Gold Record on vinyl. Bummed they didn't have Anchors or S/T but I can grab those online
Yeah, the Flatliners pit was weird, and the floor as always was too slippery (even before drinks got spilled and thrown) that people were bailing left and right. I really liked the Souls' set too. I got my favorite songs from Simplicity which was cool. I'll give you one guess who Greg reacted to in the microphone asking for No Comply when they did the request.
Haha hell yeah. I was really hoping they were gonna play that! Born To Lose was cool but No Comply would have been much better. I still think this show would have been better at Grog but I can't complain
