Just saw the 99 Cents Only Stores logo on the PDL shirt. Might have to get it now. I worked in their corporate office for 5 years until it was very clear they were quickly going under.

 

It looks like and after that is doing one coming up. But I know not everyone is a fan of that brand here.

Pricey, shirts can be kind of stiff, not all designs are great. The usual bootleg stuff.

 

there was a lot of drama with people i used to follow in that world that like lent templates to and basically taught how to design shirts to that guy and i guess he was dismissive of them afterwards or whatever. idk. impossible to care about bootleg instagram t brand drama.

Absolutely. Youth Energy seems to be the outlier. Just a chill dude that makes pretty good bootlegs.

 

One time an acct was looking for recs and I submitted "Mark Hollis/Talk Talk" and they shared my response and said "WE DID MARK HOLLIS IN 2020 WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW IDEAS" but they'd delete their shirts from IG and didn't have an archive anywhere so who the fuck knew the did Mark Hollis???? Dumbass

 

The worst is when bootleggers will have a suggestion box in their IG story and then it’s just them dunking on people’s suggestions and they just do Morrissey/The Smiths for the 10,000th time.

 

Or when they do this and never actually boot any of the suggestions they get. Like what’s even the point?

I would definitely do that. 6 months is a pretty insane wait.

 

Most of the boots I've gotten have been good quality, so it's always a bummer to get something that just feels half assed. Ordered this dope oasis boot for my buddy and I and got another shirt because it was buy two get one free. Two of them came today... cheap screen printing on Gildan blanks. To top it off, my buddy's shirt wasn't in the package. I reach out and just get a one line answer "it shipped separately". Followed up asking for tracking and suddenly "it's lost in the mail" despite not appearing on the packing slip

 

he’s a friend of a friend and I can attest he’s a good dude. A family man that prints boots on the side.

 

the inherent vice tee is underwhelming but I’m snagging the one PDL shirt.

Didn’t realize there were 2 inherent vice designs. Both are lackluster.
