Amazon is having a sale, if you buy 15 dollars worth of physical books you get 5 dollars off. PRIMEBOOKS17 is the promo code.
Thanks for this. Also damn. My 300 dollar Stephen King order could've scooped me up tons of free money.
Think it ended up being 39. Would have been an even 40 but the new release of The Green Mile wasn't in stock yet.
Surprised they didn't do something like that with the movie coming out - although I know thy rerelease the paperbacks with new covers. Maybe in a year or something depending how the movie(s) go.
Was going to try and finish up my reread of The Dark Tower series before the film but now that I have all the other books that tie in to the series I've been catching up on any I missed. Fun to see small connections and sprinklings that King puts in other works. Next up to tackle is Insomnia since a character in book 7 is in Insomnia and when reading book 7 I was kind of lost about who and why he was there so late in the game.
Read S.J. Watson - Before I Go to Sleep in literally a day and a half. My mind went in so many directions about what I thought was going on. It's been a while since I've been that absorbed. 10/10
Finishing up Ed Kurtz's The Rib From Which I Remake the World... Highly recommend it to fans of crime noir and horror.
I don't think it worked like that, I think once you hit 15 dollars you get 5 dollars off. Not every 15 dollars you get 5 off. So your 300 dollar King order would have cost you 295 haha.
I read I Am Legend over the weekend - really enjoyed it! So many differences from the Will Smith film!
Unless I could've used the promo more than once (doubt it). Then I would have made like 20 orders and been confused as shit about what I already ordered and didn't haha
A Wrinkle in Time is one of my favorite novels and I'm not really into movies but Ava DuVernay, Oprah, Mindy Kaling, etc are involved in the movie version and I'm very much excited to see this. Photos were released and trailer this weekend. Meet the three Mrs. Ws from Ava DuVernay's A Wrinkle in Time
Finished The Silent Corner by Dean Koontz. While the ending wasn't all that interesting to me I didn't think his writing was terrible. It definitely seems like his style is for only certain people do I can understand why some may not like him.
working on Absalom, Absalom! now. I think about it all day and I'm really invested but reading 50 pages is an all day affair haha. The Sound and the Fury was one of my favorite things I read in college so this has been on my list for a while
I read it earlier this year and enjoyed it. It's quite short so if you've got time you'll make it through quickly.
I can't believe this but I missed a King and Straub book. I saw Talisman and I was like I do not remember reading this and I definitely haven't.
reading One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich and it's very good. hoping to finish it by the end of the week.
Finished Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman yesterday. Really enjoyed it. Started Meet Me in the Bathroom by Lizzy Goodman now.
