That's awesome! I remember flying through it and liking it! I think it had a few question marks if I remember correctly but an enjoyable murder thriller!

It really depends but this year I’ve been reading more than ever. A few chapters every night, pretty much.

I think my fast reading is due to the books I’m reading. I will fly through lots of thriller/mystery/horror books because typically they aren’t overly complex reads (at least the ones I choose haha). If I was reading more complex reads with vast plots, characters, etc I think I’d go much slower.

I also go in spurts. This year I’ve found myself very speedy but in past years it’s been slow. I think once kids are in the picture my reading will plummet. I think I got another 2-3 years lol

  8. Bought the next two red rising books (iron gold and dark age). The series is fun science fiction and pretty violent. Thanks to who ever recommended it.

I read halfway through Ducks, Newburyport... and then I committed the worst sin... and impatiently skipped to the end.

Haven't heard of him either. King and his son really hyped it up, so I'll give it a shot this weekend.

I saw Stephen King tweet about that book the other day and now it’s on my radar!

Got it today. My in-laws are here because of the hurricane so I was only able to read the first few chapters but it’s fantastic so far.

    Has some Near Dark vibes.

when something like this happens I wonder if the author (or musician or whoever) knows in advance or if it’s someone just talking about something they like, they just happen to be famous and are now shining a much, much brighter light than most of the world could by doing that. Like, imagine getting a horror novel published and King sends off a tweet about it. That would be crazy even if you knew in advance but if it came out of nowhere? Holy shit that’s gotta be a feeling and experience.

Has anyone read The Serialist by David Gordon? Just started it. I’ve been having a really hard time reading during the pandemic but this is coming easy to me so far.
