One of the actors that plays a Tusken is deaf and helped them develop the sign language for them. Once I found that out I appreciated it more.
And then suddenly at the end they started telling you what they said. That was kind of dumb. Also the whole lizard bit was very strange.
I'm thoroughly enjoying this more than I did season 1 of The Mandalorian. But I'm now realizing that I must be in the minority there.
Okay that episode was pretty fun IMO...but also a lot of wtf moments throughout. - Bill Dauterive walking into the palace - Danny Trejo casually rolling up with a rancor - I had seen a few memes of people comparing Boba in the bacta tank to Frank Reynolds when he's completely shaved and covered in sanitizer... That's literally all I could think about whenever he was getting tossed around in that fight. - That hover bike gang looks like it came straight out of that Battletoads/Double Dragon game
I watched the Stars Wars Explained recap of this episode and i think he's completely right on the money that Crimson Dawn is going to be the "Mephisto" of Book of Boba Fett. Something fans are going to constantly speculate about (especially after this episode) but will probably never happen.
The point being as soon as they teased "other syndicate" tons of fans thought of crimson dawn and were let down by end of episode that it wasnt and they're going to keep thinking they're going to pop up and they probably won't.
It doesn't help that there was one probable bs leak that mentioned Hutts, Krrsantan, and Crimson Dawn/Qi'ra that all of these fans have latched onto.
ok who thought the color coordinated space vespa gang was a good idea? They're so out of place in this edit: just finished and this is easily my least enjoyed episode so far. Had some fun references and cameos but thats about it. Didnt like the big decisions they made with the story, especially with how they handled the Tuskens in this one.
I kind of hope this is the last piece of live action Star Wars media to ever be set on Tatooine. This is pretty much "Tatooine:The Series" i don't think there a need for any movie or show to ever visit that planet again. Plus that shit is played out anyway. I want to explore the culture and politics of Naboo or Coruscant more.
The Cyberpunk kids could have been cool if they were actual characters and not just rejected Blade Runner Action Figures. Why introduce The Twins and Black Krsanten only to have them peace out the next episode? Why did we spend so long with the Tuskens only to kill them all off screen? Why did the high speed chase look like the Stranger Things kids chasing a Honda Civic? As someone whose least favorite part of the OT is Jabba’s palace, I realize this wasn’t going to be my favorite show, but it’s so hollow right now that I’m even struggling with it as an extremely optimistic/easy to please SW fan.
So far the episodes have been ok. Didn’t mind this one. But it’s too slow of a burn. Like we still don’t know why Boba cares to do this at all.
it seems that the pykes may have been behind it which will fuel the next few episodes. but yeah. I don’t have answers for a lot of your other comments. the episode felt weird to me. I like the idea of the biker gang, but their colorful bikes felt out of place and the chase scene felt reeeeeallly slow. I liked the Black Krrisistan fight scene. It was super intense. But it felt weird how it ended with him. Hopefully we see more from him. The Rancor should be awesome. But yeah.
