phenomenally uninteresting first episode but that thread about jazz sent me to the stratosphere, so worth it
This week's episode was awesome. Loved the build out of our "present day" stuff with some comic deep cuts, and seeing in our flashback, so much of the Tusken Raider culture ruled.
The Tusken Raider stuff is pretty fun, but I was honestly a little bummed when it became obvious that this episode was going to be mostly flashbacks once again. It will be interesting to see how they tie all of this together though. I'm guessing he's going to end up recruiting the Tuskens at some point to fight against the Hutts. Highlight of the episode was definitely the Wookiee though.
Big improvements this episode. Loved the Tusken Raider stuff in this one. Even though it was flashbacks it at least gave us a fun action sequence and I like seeing stuff like the origin of his gaffi stick/fighting style he learned from them.
This episode was great. Loved the dive into Tusken culture that we got in this one. Much more interesting than the first. I would like to get more present day stuff in the coming episodes though. Pumped that we'll seemingly get more Hutt action. Also, it's pretty nuts that Black Krrsantan (the wookie) is the first character originally created for the comics to appear in live action.
They should have released the first 2 last week cause this was much better and had the hooks to make me excited going forward.
Episode 2 was fucking awesome. So much better. I love that it got weird. Only thing I didn’t like was CGI hutts. why? It’s probably cheaper to make puppets tbh. They figured it out in 83.
Same here. Obviously we don’t get a lot of characterization for Boba in the OT, if at all - but all of this seems weird for a guy who was told “no disintegrations” because of his reputation. And of course maybe that’s the point of this show to show that change but damn this same arc has been done so many times. Also a nitpick but it bothers me that Temuera always has his mouth open. He always looks nervous, which again undermines how badass Boba always seemed.
