Theory from my wife: the guy with the spin move wasn’t being extra. He was so confident in his abilities to smoke target 1 that he figured “I’ve got time to assess my surroundings for other threats thus proving his superior ability to multitask.”
Every person I’ve talked to in person about the show has been very positive about it. I wonder what the general consensus is on it outside of the internet?
People outside the internet aren't real. Same thing with facts. That's why everyone gets their news from Twitter, so you get the most up-to-date information.
Just finished this. The best bits of this are essentially Mando episodes, but it still balances the season out. The first half I almost have up, but the second half redeems it. I'm content that we got enough good stuff to make the whole thing worthwhile. If it doesn't continue, that's fine. Hoping Obi-Wan blows it outta the water otherwise.
It took me forever to figure out what the street gang bikes reminded me of. I’ve landed on Kitchenaid Mixers.
It would have been a lot better if the main character was not a hollow suit of armor just meandering through the show.
Man there are just so many things they could have done to make this show better it’s disappointing. They should have had Cad Bane show up way earlier to be a counterpoint to Boba’s alleged growth and to make that final scene more impactful
man this show was rough. forced myself to watch it to get to the Mando stuff and even that wasn't the best. Cad Bane's entrance strolling in from the desert looked cool as shit tho
Alright finally got around to the 2nd episode. Honestly it was pretty entertaining. The train heist was a ton of fun and Boba trippin on lizard brain was the kind of weird I like. Also really liked the design of the conductor/spider droid. I still do not really care about what's going on in the present day story. Was that supposed to be Black Krrsantan from the Aphra comics?
Finally finished the first season last night. Really felt like i was slogging through it; especially the first half. Last 2 episodes were my favorite. My biggest gripe is that it really didn't feel like a Star Wars series at times. Just the pacing, music, shots, general overall feel... I think the backlash is too much though, because overall i did enjoy it. But there's no denying Disney is rushing these series before they're ready to come out. Content, content, content. Really optimistic about Obi-Wan!
I really hope they start moving away from this time period when they reboot the movies. It’s hard to have high stakes anything and not involve the Skywalkers.
I kind of enjoy the relatively low stakes of the shows and Solo. It's a nice change of pace and it seems to give us more time to explore smaller pockets of this universe.
Biggest gripe was CGI Luke. I don't really have an alternative solution, but his voice and face were close, but still off and i hated it.
Hah, I must have missed those. Sorry to tread that out again. I just saw an image of him as Skywalker recently and it made sense to me.
lol it was just a weird time when, because of a few instagram posts (perpetuated by MH himself no less) people across the internet assumed/were convinced that SS was going to be luke skywalker at some point. we have no idea if he even has or ever had the interest in the role lol.
The Sebastian Stan stuff is weird to me just because how do you recast the most iconic character of the past 50 years, and not have it at least be a younger/older version like they did with Han. Seems too jarring which is why I imagine it would never happen.
Recasting is better than CGI. Just do it. Sebastian Stan or not there's someone out there that would be fine.
