When did I ever insult people for enjoying this show. All I said is it’s been nothing but negativity in here for five weeks and now it’s being defended. That’s funny to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don’t even think the show is as bad as everyone else does. But I’ve been keeping quiet about that because I don’t want to get piled on.
I just don’t think it’s THAT shocking that people enjoyed this episode more since it was…better and featuring a character people care about more?
I never said it was shocking. This was Mandalorian season 3, episode 1. People love that show. It's not surprising at all. It just took inserting a Mandalorian episode into this show's season to get more people to like this show, which I think is funny. It's not funny on the part of the viewers, it's funny on the part of the show. It literally had to become a different (better) show for a week.
I mean “being defended” was the part I found weird because that inherently is talking not about the show but the viewers. I haven’t seen anyone who didn’t like the first four episodes all the sudden saying the show is good because they liked the mando episode lol
Right and it took the show turning into a different show for a week to get people to start coming to its defense in pretty much any capacity. That’s what I find funny. Anyway this is why I haven’t really been participating in this thread at all so I’ll go back to doing that. Sorry!
Amazing episode on so many levels. That new city was badass. The test flight scene on my surround sound system was so good.
Totally thought it was a pod racer at first. Any thoughts on what they made for Grogu? And does this imply that we’ll see Mando go see Grogu in Mando S3 and then he comes back to help Boba in Boba S2?
I’m guessing either we just see more of Mando going to see Grogu literally next episode. Or we go back to Boba/something else and Mando shows back up in the last episode to help with the fight and we see what Mando did off with Grogu back in Mando S3.
I mean, literally the only thing happening in the show right now is the pending battle for Tatooine. If they push that to a theoretical season 2 then the last two episodes will completely change track out of nowhere. That would be really odd and highly unlikely.
I hope in the final battle we just have a ragtag collection of characters from Robert Rodriguez projects. Give me El Mariachi fighting along Boba. OG Spy Kids saving the Tattooine spy kids. Machete. Fuck it.
Based on what we were shown, I'd say beskar chainmail. And I agree with @loudasallgetout. We either see it happen next episode or he just shows up for the battle with Grogu in the finale. The set up for Mando S3 was definitely the Mandalorian lore we got this episode.
Lol I was done with this show but then I heard what the episode was. I was expecting like a short cameo but it's literally just all Mandalorian which is hilarious.
I'm not sure if it's ironic that the best episode of the series so far was the one that was pretty much just the Mandalorian or not. I have to say the lowest part of the series so far was the tattoo like Cyberpunk modifications shop that felt the furthest away from Star Wars than anything before. Not sure how that one got approved.
