I agree with that. I think this genuinely may be the worst SW content in my lifetime. Below the prequels.
Definitely a lot to scratch your head at here but it was a much better episode overall. Feels like everything so far has just been like a little intro and now the show is really going to start. I’m expecting a pretty good last three episodes.
Yeah this isn’t really doing it for me. This episode felt like someone watched Blade Runner (Fennec’s Repair) and The Godfather (dinner scene), but totally missed the point of them. And woah the CGI/backgrounds looked awful at points.
I was wondering if that was just my shitty tv or not. Some of the backgrounds were definitely terrible. Was one of them green at once point?
This isn't great, but there are elements here and there that I can enjoy. Which is about the extent of what I can say about Rise of Skywalker too. I'm going to finish it because I feel like the it'll end on some high notes, but I won't be happy the next time I do an entire franchise rewatch.
Yea this show is trash, but TROS is worse. It ended the saga on a horrendous down note and retroactively made the sequel trilogy worse. Just an utter disaster of a film. Here, all it’s doing is confirming that Boba Fett sucks. That’s not new. It’s not ruining anything, so far. Hopefully when Mando shows up they don’t do anything stupid with him. Otherwise the show is easily forgettable and mostly inoffensive.
The show definitely misses more than it hits. But this was the best episode so far. Loved the shot of Slave I coming up on the bikers. The biggest problem is that it’s just been pure set up with not a lot going on. Shouldn’t take 4 episodes to finally get insight on his motivations. Like someone mentioned earlier, the flashbacks for this episode would have worked a lot better in the first one. As for his armor, he seemed pretty out of it when it was stripped for him. But instead of Boba actually looking for it there it should have been maybe to check for clues/get revenge on the Sarlacc. Still love Boba as a character but hopefully they step on the gas the rest of the way. edit: would still rather watch 3 hours of the Tattooine spy kids than TROS
I feel like boba fett hurt Greg in some way. He feels like the need to say he sucks in like every post.
I wondered this too. I thought maybe he had some sort of amnesia lol. But I mean, he used his flamethrower to get out... so if he remembers getting out, at all, then he probably remembers having his armor on. It doesn't really make sense either way. Overall, I'm getting really tired of the flashbacks. I gave them the benefit of the doubt at first because I thought all of this stuff would tie in to the overall plot at the end so the flashbacks would make more sense and have more importance. But at this point, it just feels like they're forcing this concept on us. We really didn't need to see like 75% of that in order for the present story to make sense.
I wouldn’t have guess Bantha’s ate meat but then again it’s not like we’ve ever seen any vegetation on Tattooine
Well it seems the flashbacks are done based on the comment from the droid about him being fully healed. Hopefully that means he can start being a badass again too.
i've got myself stupidly convinced that we are getting Han Solo in this show. especially if the Crimson Dawn theories turn to be true. i can absolutely see a scene where this "ive turned over a new leaf" boba fett tracks down han solo and has a "it wasnt personal it was just business" sort of conversation, and convinces him to join him in the fight, because, as fenneck implied "credits can buy muscle, if you know where to look". and then you'll get the Slave I and the Falcon joining forces to take down Crimson Dawn. i know the implication is Mando based on the little flare of his theme, but I think it was always a given that he was gonna appear in this show at some point, so it's not as grand a reveal as you'd think it is.
I'm pretty sure there were rumors of both Alden Ehrenreich and Harrison Ford filming scenes for this, but since it's both, I'd say it's not likely. Then again the way that this series has been going, I wouldn't be surprised if something similar to your theory turns out to be true. Especially if they have Han in a post credit scene as a backdoor for a Solo sequel series or something.
I don’t mind Boba Fett, this show has just relied on flashbacks too much. Hopefully now that it’s confirmed the flashbacks are done things can start to pick up pace.
