this is so spot on

the dreamiest experience ive ever had was driving to play a show at the viper (lol but it was with the zeros) and listening to Hats going thru the sunset strip in the rain

Blue Nile can make the worst place beautiful

 

Finally listening to Peace at Last. This opener is incredible

Trying to think of a (small) tattoo idea for this band/Hats. Any ideas?

if i went in for lyric tattoos i'd probably get "in love we're all the same / we're walking down an empty street"

 

You could do a one-line outline of the person on the cover?

 

I was thinking that in like a midnight blue color, or trying to do a color match. The thing is I think it might look strange with the cut-off top and bottom of the person.

Not really a lyric tattoo guy, though I like the idea of just getting "HATS" in that font somewhere.

The first two shirts on this page have interesting takes on the Hats album cover, but I agree, might be tough to translate to tattoo form

 

Gravitating more towards Rooftops recently.

 

Peace at Last is so good. Completely different vibe than what is so special about the first two, but it's a tremendous record on its own.

 

If you want to return to the mood and vibe of Hats, but in a newer band and album, I HIGHLY suggest “On the Corner Where You Live” by The Paper Kites - seeing this band and The Blue Nile on the same bill would be the most emotional concert experience ever

 

The arrangement here is so cool.

Was watching some skate vids today and came across this. Looked into the song and recognized the artwork as @unbornwhiskey's avatar. Finishing a listen of Disintegration and then I'll be pressing play on this for the first time, right around midnight.
