I'm definitely not going to hold out hope that we get them back in some regular capacity. I'm just happy they enjoyed it as much as we all did. Easily the best show I went to all year.

Jokes aside, this looks really exciting/promising. Looking forward to whatever new music they put out

Also, it seems like a law that if you start a new punk-ish side project, Autry has to join your band lol

He was in OFF! and …And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead. I also can’t remember the name, but he also had this punk project with him, Walter Schreifels, Jamie Miller and Zach Blair. Dude’s gotten around!

absolutely obsessed with young machetes rn, such a grandiose and ambitious album that took me a while to wrap my head around but its on another level for them and the whole scene. 1,2,3,4 guitars into lift the veil kiss the tank and the closing combo are both unreal pairings

I know Johnny has alluded to that album not being ideal (would be curious to hear more from him on the subject) but I think it's a glorious grab bag. And yeah the closing songs are incredible.

I really came around to Young Machetes the last 5 or 6 years. I think it's my favorite of theirs now as well.

all the excuse I needed to go rankin'

Burn, Piano Island, Burn! (ross robinson deserved the nobel for this)
March on Electric Children! (forever ruined my ability to take tough-guy hardcore seriously)
Young Machetes (all over the place with incredible highs)
Crimes (some great songs but the softer sound and production take it down just a notch for me)
This Adultery Is Ripe (embryonic but wonderful)

i can't really remember the two others to properly rank but these guys, in my opinion are the best lyricists i've ever seen. the imagery and creativity is fucking insane.
