The Blood Brothers Band

THE BLOOD BROTHERS were a seattle post-hardcore band. They wrote some of the most abrasive music in the genre. They put out really good albums. "Young Machetes" is the best Blood Brothers album.
Talk about the Blood Brothers in here with me because theyre great and under-appreciated.

sickest band, Burn Piano Island is amazing

Cecilia is probably their best song, I play it when I feel like punching life in the face

 

Like I said in the OP, I definitely think YM is their best record, but I love Burn Piano too.
Cecelia is so good. That electronic part at the beginning is so classic.

Camouflage Camouflage is my favorite Blood Brothers song I think.

 

Ambulance vs Ambulance was my jaaaaam

 

great fucking band. I gotta go with Crimes as their best top to bottom album, but nothing wrong with the other two. great shit though

that is a rad article, i hadnt seen that until now. Cool that Crimes is his favorite. i need to listen to Crimes tomorrow now, its been soooo long.

only Blood Brothers break off band i really really liked was Past Lives.

Morgan got the best end of the deal though haha (being in Fleet Foxes... obviously not a BB "break off band" however)

 

listening to Burn Piano Island Burn right now. such a great record.

 

crimes is a generational record. that was the soundtrack for every misunderstood, 16 year old emo kid wearing girl jeans in 04, 05.

 

i remember seeing them back in 04 or 05 right after crimes came out. they opened for fuckin from first to last back before sonny became skrillex. absolutely bat shit insane live band.

I wish I could've seen them. I was just really young when they were still an active band and probably wouldn't have been okay for me to be at a Blood Brothers show haha. Like, I remember listening to "Set Fire To The Face On Fire" in the seventh grade in my schools computer lab

 

This is one of my all time favorite bands. I was a little too young to see them before the breakup but I saw them twice on their mini reunion and they definitely didn't disappoint. I have the same ranking of their albums as Jordan. On a side note, I saw Head Wound City recently and was blown away. I wish Johnny would make some new music and tour I love everything he has done.

I've hated this band when I first heard them as a youth, but I'm intrigued to check them out to see if I've changed my tune. Crimes the best place to start?
