I was the same way until I gave the new one a chance! I feel like it has some of the Nikki Nack vibes while also reigning in some of the off the wall, drawn out vibes that can make it thought to listen to. They distilled the best of what they do into and filtered out what doesn’t work into some great songs!

Great lists all around! Surprised that no one mentioned Glaswing though, that one has been in constant rotation for me since songs steadily started coming out.

It’s wild how much love the new Gami record is getting.

I was really into their EPs and the last record but I guess I’ve slept on the new record.

  7. Just noticed For Those I Love! Their album was fantastic. I knew nothing going into it but it really did left a big mark on me, time to revisit it while reading the lyrics!

I LOVE THIS SITE SO MUCH. Every year, I’m finding new bands to love. Thanks to Jason, the crew, and the visitors… I appreciate you all.
And Origami Angel is fantastic! Love the “heavier” vibes thrown in too. And of course, I discover them on Chorus.

    Blackshape - self titled
    Fuckin Whatever EP - s/t
    The Undertaking! - Funeral Psalms
    Manchester Orchestra - TMMOG
    Chevelle - Niratias
The Dirty Nil - F*** Art
Death From Above 1979 - Is 4 Lovers

stoked to discover more from all the lists!
