I really liked this, the acting and cinematography were so good

 

I love engaging with whatever Sofia Coppola puts onscreen. For the first time I'm not immediately in love with a Sofia Coppola film (missed the Bling Ring), but still very good.

 

Really want to see this. Her interview on the Nerdist was great. Seems like a really cool person

 

I did not really like this. I guess it's perfectly fine but it's stripped of everything that makes Siegel's film so great.

 

The Slant review has me concerned.

 

I didn't realize this opened here. Probably tomorrow, but I am cautious.

 

Mind that I've never seen the original but I adored this. I'm especially interesting in how being chaste out of religiosity alters behaviour so this was thematically very much in my wheelhouse, but beautifully shot. A joy to look at.
