I just made the Trader Joe's beer bread this past weekend. Used a bottle of Old Rasputin and it came out pretty damn tasty.
I've been spending way too much money on beer this week. I've bought the BA Shipwreck Porter, Perrin Unfinished Business, Speedway Stout, and today I finally found a bottle of Evil Twin Even More Jesus.
Ooh, let me know how the Unfinished Business is. I didn't know it was coming out so my store ran out before I even heard it was available.
I will! It's been sitting on the shelves on the east side of the state. Perrin has been doing so great lately.
My cousin just got a shipment today. We've drank Julius, Green, Haze, and All That Is and All That Ever Will Be. Still have Alter Ego to go. These things are so good.
My buddy said that there is some left at his work, so I'll probably ask him to set one aside. I've been purchasing too much beer and running out of room in the fridge recently, so I kind of want to curb my spending a bit.
After being lazy and letting it ferment for like 3 months then sit on fruit for another month, I finally got around to tasting that pineapple gose I made last night and I'm really happy with how it turned out.
I was actually a little let down by Unfinished Business. Maybe I was expecting too much after No Rules and Big Griz, but it tasted kind of empty for a 13% stout.

We ran out of time, because frankly we had another 2-3 nights worth of stuff that we just never made it to. I'm done with stouts for a while, but No Rules was the best of the collection. The Tree House IPAs were undoubtedly the best of the bunch if you're asking me. They've borderline ruined beer for me, because I compare every IPA to them now, and nothing really compares for me. I left the Blocktoberfest on the list for @bigmike but pretty much everything else was top notch. One of the better weeks of my life (not just for the beer, but it contributed).
We started planning this trip a year ago or so, so my dad and my two cousins started planning then. If you make it to 100 years you deserve to have a group of people toasting to you every night!
just got a pack of blue ribbon award winning beer shipped in from Milwaukee, can't wait to try it out
Such an absurd list. But you're leaving too early! Bell's Roll Out The Barrel event is tomorrow in Kalamazoo. It'll be killer!
Had some great stuff at The Bruery today, these were some of my favorites Love Twist - Sour Blonde w/ Cherries, Orange/Lemon Zest Mash & Vanilla - BBA Barleywine w/ Vanilla White Oak Sap with Cherries & Vanilla (Nitro) - BBA Wheat-wine w/Cherries & Vanilla White Mocha - BBA Wheatwine w/ Cacao and Coffee among other favorites like Poterie and Or Xata
Bells Roll Out the Barrel day was fantastic. So many good beers I can't even list which ones I liked the most.
Picked up Stone Xocoveza yesterday. One of my favorite seasonal releases. Backwoods Bastard is coming out soon too, and I can't wait to pick up a four pack of it.
fuckin love Xocoveza, gonna drink so much this year haha. I want to try Backwoods for sure, hopefully we get some out here this year
Dayum! Thoughts on the BCBS variants? 2014 prop was great. And Treehouse and Other Half ruined other IPAs for me. Thankfully OH is relatively easy to get. You mean next year? In Boston? I went this year and had a great time. Will likely go again.
