At Wegman's yesterday I found a 12 pack of Hoponius Union cans for $17, which I thought was pretty sweet, since I think 12 cans of Sam Adams at my local liquor store runs me $15 or $16.
With @iplaydrums, I can't get into beer, but open to recs. (I'm so ashamed, I used to work for a publication where beer tasting was a norm! ) Do enjoy ciders, but also open to expanding my palette or whatever lol
Normally go for Strongbow Gold Apple or Angry Orchard Green Apple, but had a friend turn me onto a pear cider last summer that was amazing. Can't remember who made it, but know it was imported.
If you like ciders, I recommend starting with Belgian-style beers. They also tend to be light in body, highly carbonated, and fruity and flavorful. Some recs: Allagash White Affligem Blond Saison DuPont Boulevard Tank 7 Duvel
I think it was from somewhere in Europe? She first tried it when she did a study abroad, so I'm not sure!
First post on the beta! I don't know if anyone will find it outwith Scotland/UK but we have WEST Brewery here in Glasgow, they do various beers and that sort of thing. The best is their flagship St. Mungos which is marketed as 'German head; Glasweigan Heart'. A must have!
Hey! I didn't try it for ages then finally did hungover one day and it changed everything. West 4 is decent as well. The brewery is a great place to go to on a sunny day.
Think the store will let me trade in 4 Coors Lights for one good 40oz? Why is this not a thing allowed. IT SHOULD BE IN THE CONSTITUTION!
lmao having a Miller Fortune. They're not bad, not great, not good, but just enough of an alc%/vol to get me tipsy easily also have some Anchor stuff that isn't very good and i regret drinking the last of my Hard Orange Cream Ale yesterday
Having a Woodchuck Gumption. Definitely not the right time of year for a cider, but it's hitting the spot.
i THINK i've had that. or something from Woodchuck. they're not bad. is there a season to drink certain stuff? i'll have a cider all year round
Yeah, Woodchuck is always good! Cider is usually a fall drink for me, but moving to south Texas ruined my sense of seasons, haha.
There's a bar over here that actually does that like, once a year. You can bring in any of your "leftover" or "friend's beers" of that nature and they'll pour you a free craft brew
This is the worst, that's why I buy more craft beer than I can drink. There's always something decent on hand. Woodchuck is the best. They've got a wide variety of flavors for any season. The summer and fall are typically the best, but the Winter is pretty good.
