My buddy showed up at the coffeeshop I frequent this morning and gave me a couple sixers of Creature Comfort's Tropicalia & Athena, and a couple random cans from Good People from his trek out to Alabama and Georgia last week. Love CC's stuff; can't wait to have more of it.
I should have 2 or 3 cans to trade. I picked up a four pack each of Fort Point Double Dry Hop Pale Ale, Pier American Wheat, and Scaled Up IIPA.
On my way to Cycle in St. Pete, and then heading home to finish off the Trillium I have. Today will be a good day!
After drinking a fair amount of both recently, I have to say Tree House >>>>>> Trillium. Both are great, but the best of Tree House is way ahead of Trillium according to my tastebuds.
Never had treehouse or trillium unfortunately. I need to get on that. Currently drinking a Perrin black goat right now. Very good.
Currently drinking a Cycle Equinox, and I think this is the best beer I've had today. When most people think of beer in Tampa Bay (and probably Florida in general) they think Cigar City, and don't get me wrong -- they make great stuff, but I think Cycle is doing it the best.
I went to Trillium today and got a 4 pack of Fort Point and a growler of Melcher Street. I just opened the growler and holy shit is it good. Reminds me of some Tired Hands IPAs.
Black Goat is a great beer. Perrin's been crushing it for a while with things like Black Goat, Lil Griz and Big Griz. Where in Mich. are you?
Black Goat was excellent, I think my store nearby is going to get big and lil griz in soon finally. I'm in Port Huron.
Ahh, gotcha. I'm in Lansing and was going to say that I'm more than happy to share beers. They do a lot of really solid -> really good beer, but they have some big time clunkers for me. Raspberry blonde, Blackberry IPA and Grapefruit IPA are all just beers I understand are really popular, but I just don't like at all.
If only this was 2 years ago, I went to MSU so I was living in Lansing for four years. I've been meaning to get back up there. I'm going to Grand Rapids to hit up some breweries for my birthday next month.
Ah, word. Lansing is at four breweries (if you count Grand Ledge as part of west lansing) in the city limits now, with a couple in surrounding areas (mason and williamston) so the beer scene here is finally picking up. GR is always a great birthday getaway.
Had Or Xata and Share This: Coffee lay night at my parents house and surprised them both with how much they liked them
Has anyone checked out any Lancaster, PA spots? I'm only there for 2 days at the end of the month but I've already scouted Spring House and possible Lancaster Brewing. Never had Spring House but their lineup look intriguing.
