I’m enjoying it! It’s crazy soft, feel like it would be even better if it had some vanilla. Also got the habanero Haze, Fellowship, and the Super Bowl Julius.
Didn't follow up on this one but was there a couple days and hit a few of these spots. Cerebral, Denver Beer Co. were both great. Denver Beer Co food was surprisingly great. Westbound has a new location downtown now and it's super cute. Good beer too. The L was very chill and was playing emo music the entire time we were there so another win. We hit up some arcade/bar too that was by the L and the bartender was just handing out shots so I don't remember much more of the night! Also the Union Station is a cool place with neat options! Thanks again for the recs!
Hell yeah!! That's great to hear, glad you had a good time and some of the recs worked out. Now I gotta find that arcade bar next time I go and see what i can get for free! I've been one bar (the only?) in Union Station, Terminal, which I remember was pretty solid, not sure if that's where you went too
Re: union Station - Terminal is a nice little spot with beer. We had apps at Ultreia and it was nice. The spot by L is called Players Pub. There is a pic on Google Maps of all their infused shots. We went in and the tender said buy a beer and shots are on me... so we had like 3 shots apiece as he was just handing them if either of us bought a beer. Again, don't recommend going early in the night but after other spots close down it's a good night cap. The bartender from The L was also there after they closed at midnight. haha
Tired Hands is closing the Brew Cafe, which stinks. Such a cool spot. Apparently they renamed it “Ardmore Brewing Company” within the year. Jean still stinks and the beer has gone downhill, but I had some great memories there. They also closed their Kennett Square spot
It’s officially San Francisco Beer Week as of today. So many cool events that I’m looking forward to attending! Especially excited to drink a lot of funky sours on Sunday at Gourmet Haus Staudt in Redwood City and Sante Adairius’ Oakland taproom!
BrewDog bought by US cannabis and drinks firm for £33m, costing nearly 500 jobs They've been past their best for a while and have very clear moral issues across the company, but this is a pretty huge moment for the UK craft beer scene. A very important company in the history of UK craft beer.
For whatever reason I’ve been so intrigued with this beer for like a decade. I even tried to brew something similar using my own coffee porter recipe before even tasting it way back when. Finally got to try it and it does not disappoint.
Yeah I love cellarmaker. I went to their og spot like randomly a few months after they opened and was blown away. Been a fan since. This is only the second time they’ve distroed here.
Lmk if you need Bay Area recs, I’m pretty familiar with the beer/brewery scene here. The OG Cellarmaker in the SOMA part of SF is no more, but the House of Pizza in the mission is still around. Great food and beer but doesn’t have as much of a brewery feel to it, it’s more of a restaurant
Has anyone ever used this website to order beers? https://halftimebeverage.com/ it’s a $20 shipping charge but they have a pretty impressive catalog and it appears they update it frequently. My local bottle shop has been BLEAK lately.
