Three local breweries are closing this weekend, almost no notice. Not ideal.

What’s a discontinued beer you wish you could have again? For me it’s Victory’s Hop Ranch

You know that guy that brewed folksbier now brews Schenker Beer. And Id probably say their hellbier is the same recipe.

What is up with Voodoo Ranger? We went to a birthday party for our friend's kid this weekend at some indoor rock climbing gym. It was like 2 pm and they had a cooler of White Claws and some beer. I wasn't going to drink (because I was at a child's birthday party at a rock climbing gym at 2pm), but our friend told me to grab something so that other people would start to drink too. I saw that the one beer was a Voodoo Ranger imperial ipa so grabbed the second choice, assuming it was lower abv. The can said "Fruit Punch IPA". Gross, whatever. I'm halfway through it when my wife goes "What are you drinking?!" and points to the side of the can. 9.5%! What kind of psycho only grabs ~10% beer for a kids party????

I think Voodoo Ranger was originally just a single beer, an IPA, but it got so popular that they turned Voodoo Ranger into a brand so now there's a lot of different types of Voodoo Ranger. I dunno really

You are correct. They have mixed cases of different IPA’s now that are all voodoo ranger.

Voodoo ranger I believe became the top selling SKU in the 19.2 oz can in the country. It actually forced bells, founders (and other regionals here in MI) to follow suit. That voodoo ranger line or whatever it is essentially are replacing the malt beverage category as they’re close to the price point and ABV but now are like fruit punch ipa and palatable to those looking for high abv that doesn’t taste too much like beer.

Judging you if there isn't alcohol at your kids bday party. I don't care if it's 10am, I've been up for 6 hours.

Listen. 90% of the budget of my son’s last 4 birthdays has been alcohol. I was on an island though, it was our childhood friend’s kid and every other adult was the parent of a kid in his class. A house party? A party with a single other person I knew? Bombs away

I rarely drink Voodoo Ranger anymore except for their booth at PAX East, where we always load up on a few of these before going back onto the expo floor

I blacked out drinking voodoo ranger on Christmas Eve because my mom got voodoo ranger IPA cans without knowing what they were. And I was sneaking drinks in my bedroom at my mom’s house because my puritan Christian extended family was over. Lol. They never expected a thing.
