Really would’ve loved to make it to Grimm on this trip but just couldn’t find a way to fit it in, as it wasn’t particularly close to the areas we were in. Did manage to hit six breweries on the trip though which I think is pretty solid for a family trip where the focus wasn’t supposed to be beer lol. Talea, Other Half, Evil Twin, Threes, Wild East, and Finback (whose farmhouse pale was one of the best beers of the trip). Came home with 10 east coast beers as well which I’m pretty stoked about, hopefully they all survived the trip home!
nice, also just picked up a 4 pack of these + a bottle of RR Blind Pig (place near us has a ton of Pliny and BP in stock w like 3-4 weeks old bottle dates, freshest I've yet to have it here in ME)
Very good, almost like an altbier. I had Adem, their Belgian wit, too. Not quite on the level of Allagash White but still very good.
I’ve had it on draft before at Queen’s Head Pub in Bridgton. Looking at their draft list they have it on currently
Maine? Allagash is an uber from downtown, but is the best. Also has the best lobster roll. There are like 4 other solid breweries across the street as well. Oxbow is walkable from downtown and is great. They have food from Duckfat which is a longtime Portland staple Bissell is still the best for IPAs in my opinion but will be mobbed with families tomorrow if that bugs you Tandem Coffee Novare Res for beer bar Crispy Gai great food spot Sry if you meant OR
I gotta get to these two. I'm pretty sure I've had at least one beer from both and vastly preferred one, but I have no idea which it was.
Stopped there on my way up July 4 and they had an absolutely phenomenal blueberry wild. Trying to do less impulse buying of bottles but would have snagged a couple to go if not
Oxbow occasionally makes it out this way (CA) and I always pick some up when I see it. Their flagship farmhouse pale is one of my favorite clean saisons
Their Uvalore, the grape beer, is my favorite beer in the world. Actually I’m not sure that’s what I had, I’m just googling what they have now. But they had a grape farmhouse last year that was better than any beer I’ve ever had.
Let me add Becky’s Diner to the list. Unbelievable haddock Reuben. Bissell Brothers always plays good music too, lots of Thrice, Every Time I Die, Coheed, Thursday, etc when I’ve gone.
Haven’t had one of these in a long time. Immediately brought back to 2015-2017 when I’d get growler fills pretty regularly.
