Home for the weekend and had to make a trip up to Schilling. Got their Hanse keller pils, Palmovka 12 side pour Czech pils, and Herkules Kolsch.
their spot in Littleton looks so nice too, Ive been meaning to get out there some time but its still a 2hr drive so like an all day commitment for me. Them and Modestman are 2 NH breweries i've seen lots of hype around the past year or so.
Its great that my in laws live in the next town over. I get to go to Schilling whenever I'm up for the weekend. Its about 2 hours away from where I live. Great spot right on the river in northern NH.
No pics but was in the mood for some darker stuff yesterday while it was downpouring here. Had a pour of both Founders Porter and Delirium Nocturnum yesterday at a brewpub I've wanted to hit up for a while (Revolution in Rochester, NH). Both were incredible but thought the porter was more like a stout with how sweet it was, luckily was not as heavy as a stout. Can definitely see why people love this stuff.
That’s interesting, I haven’t had anything Founders in quite a while, but I remember the porter being more roasty/bitter than sweet and pretty robust as well. Those are definitely both good beers. side note: dark lager may be my favorite style lately
Was just in Asheville with a buddy and he stocked me up on some Burial to bring home to Chicago. Fucking stoked. While in town we went to DSSOLVER, Terra Nova and Zillicoah.
In Prague right now. The beer culture here just absolutely rips. Even in the tourist areas the beers are cheaper than tea/coffee and everything on tap is phenomenal. At dinner last night having local tap water also affirmed how soft the water is, and also dries your palate to want to drink more (Dovetail brewery tour taught me that).
One of my favorite Michigan breweries is closing down out of nowhere this weekend and I’m so bummed. Really gonna miss Ascension Brewing.
This was a really great time. We stayed on site in their Drekker themed hotel rooms. Loved it. Highly recommend.
Yeah just expanded at the wrong time and had issues with expansion. Just kinda sunk em. Unfortunately just the beginning of the trend here.
