really enjoying forbidden pumpkin by abomination. surprised to find one of their beers out here but this is a great pumpkin milkshake IPA
Pumpkin Milkshake IPA? Wild. Headed out to Napa in a couple weeks and planning on hitting up Russian River Brewing Co, any other recs out in SF area? Napa's Beer festival is going on while we're out there, too... $60 all you can taste/drink.
There are a lot of great breweries in the Bay Area but Cellarmaker (locations in SF, Oakland, and Berkeley), Sante Adairius (locations in Oakland, Santa Cruz, and Capitola), and Wondrous (Emeryville) are the three best imo. Other spots worth visiting include the Great Notion taproom in Berkeley; Moonlight in Santa Rosa; and Humble Sea in Alameda, Pacifica, or Santa Cruz. Tons more but that’s what I would start with. Just depends on your preferred styles.
Nearing the end of my break from drinking (it’s been about 2 months). I’ve only tried a few NA beers during that time but I’m drinking a Samuel Adams Just the Haze right now, and it’s pretty impressive for a non-alcoholic hazy IPA.
funny enough first few sips it tasted like a very solid but standard New England, but after that the spices started peeking through and gave it a whole new dimension that worked wonderfully. highly recommend.
I had one (1) space dust at lunch today and felt woozy all afternoon. My body just handles beers later in the day lol anything before 5 and it’s gonna hit me like a truck
quad post but fuck it, this bar is opening literally a quarter mile from where I live next month and my buddy who is head brewer at Modern (number one St. Louis area brewery for sure) co signed it as he used to work with the owner. Pumped because Lagers are a huge blind spot for me and while I’ve had a few I really enjoy I don’t get excited about them as much as my go-to stouts and IPAs. excited to have a venue to explore that style. Little Lager Aims to Celebrate the Beer Style That Built St. Louis
Fairly new to beer drinking over the past few years. Do y'all have a way to track the beers you taste or do you not really give a shit? I've been using untapped - not as a check-in or a social platform; but just to keep a running list of all the beers I try. 99% of them have been searchable.
i was just recommended this recently while being caught unable to make a decision at my local distributor hah - great beer.
Local shop was doing 45% off all Drekker DIPA so grabbed a couple 4 packs. Been so long since I had anything besides stouts or sours. Hitting just right.
