Empirical Brewery closing in Chicago, on quite literally the same intersection that Urban Brew Labs closed this fall. Craft beer crisis in full swing huh?
Without knowing anything about about this doc besides just watching the trailer and knowing a few of the breweries it'll feature, but I guarantee you quite a few people I know will probably pop up in this. I'm from Dunedin which is one of the major hubs of the Tampa Bay craft beer scene. There are like 7 microbreweries within a 2 or 3 mile radius from my apartment. It's cool they're featuring 7venth Sun, Devon is an awesome person and she deserves it. They better feature Dunedin Brewery though, it's literally the oldest craft brewery in Florida!
sip of sunshine is maybe my number 1 choice to give someone if i have one chance to get them into ipas
I would do many things for a Lawson's again... hell, even a Harpoon at this point. Korea has had some decent beers, but NE by far is the best area for beer's I've ever lived in. OK, where I'll be back "home" to in a matter of days is easily the worst, and is just one of a number of reasons why I'm ready to move elsewhere ASAP.
I can't recall having those two, I will have to be on the lookout for them going forward. Is anything specifically by them you recommend?
I’m in NJ, so I don’t get too much from either, but anything I’ve had from both is great, so you’re probably safe with whatever.
Yeah, man, WTF! I find Empirical's closure shocking because I thought they had a really solid fanbase and there was always folks in their taproom.
