I'm pretty sure that Black Project is where Mitch (who started Speciation in Michigan, a spontaneous brewery/winery) started his sour beer making career.

Bummer, they had some solid/great beer.

 

im now in walking distance of a huge park with a beer garden from rockwell beer co, good local place. gonna go check it out this week my realtor got me a gift card

I implore you all to try La Cumbre beer if you find it anywhere near you. My favorite brewery out of Abq, NM. Cheers.

@djwildefire I saw you went to Urban Roots how was it? I’ve been thinking of going

 

I’ve been a few times, it’s great. Good BBQ and a really nice variety of beers. Yesterday they hosted Zwanze day which is why I went up there. I’m not the biggest IPA guy so can’t speak to those, but their lagers and saisons are always excellent.

 

Grimm is about to enter the wine world and I’m super excited to see what they do.

 

Taking the kids to Disneyland for a couple days. What should I try to fit in?

JK I’m going to Bottle Logic since I’ve never been there but love their stuff.

 

Bottle logic, Bruery, Radiant are the ones I hit up the most these days. Everywhere is a new one that shows promise. Wave at me as you pass, I'm right off the 57 freeway

Went there last night. 2 and half hour wait. So maybe if we are there again and no wait.

 

Wow that's insane, def not worth that much wait.

 

We went in the middle of the day for lunch and no wait so that’s crazy to hear. Though it was during an off season for Disney holiday wise. I’m sure Disney is packed right now for all the Halloween festivities

 

Any Chicago folks in here? Did Hop Butcher brewery close? My wife and I are visiting Chicago next week and I was really looking forward to going there, but according to Google, it's closed?

 

They relocated to the old Half Acre spot on Lincoln Avenue, but I don’t think it’s open yet.
