i got robbed back in may and then again in june just days after replacing my ID and then abruptly moved states without much notice so ive been without proper identification for a while now and unable to purchase and even order stuff when i go out. that all changed today when i finally got my license switched over to my current state so my first order of business was picking up a few things. starting with this extremely tasty 9.2% porter from a brewery local to st louis. feels good to be back.
Trying to get a bit healthier and lose some weight, so i’m cutting out excessive beer. …as I have a fridge full of smoothie sours and stouts (and more on the way from Tavour)
I cut back also haha, wife was pregnant so I wasn't really drinking alone at home and now with a baby I gotta stay awake so I don't drink too much or I'll get sleepy!!
It's definitely funny to see how much this thread changed since early pandemic haha, we were very busy then
I drank a lot of whiskey sours during the summer. If anyone wants to start a whiskey sour thread I’ll post in there when I drink one. I am drinking one right now
Just had my first Oktoberfestbier of the season and it just so happened to be a Hofbrau. Very delicious. What's everyone's favorite seasonal Oktoberfest? I'm partial being from PA farmland, but the Yuengling Oktoberfest is a chefs kiss of a brew. Heavy but not too heavy, great for football season.
whiskey sours can be real good. especially with an egg white to make it extra smooth Schilling makes a great marzen and oktoberfest beers. I used to love Sam Adams version but haven't had it in a few years
I just buy the box of Bar Tender packets (which include egg whites) and they’re better than most I’ve had at other places
Black Project is closing and I couldn't be more bummed. One of the best spontaneous makers out there.
