Here's a visual of our cellar situaish. How this all fit in our one bedroom apartment in Brooklyn I have NO idea.
I've previously had Julius, Green and Haze. The beer was ~3 weeks old. If a beer can't hold old for 3 weeks, that's a pretty big problem itself.
@bigmike and @KidLightning had some serious convincing on Waldo's Ale so I just picked that up for my buddy and I's dinner and pre drinks before Into It Over It tonight. In for a long (short) night lol
Got a sixer of the pineapple for the first time. That's some tasty stuff. I really need to do a side by side tasting with all the different variations one of these days. Unfortunately, its around $15-16 for a six pack around here (down from $19 initially).
you gotta stop following out of state breweries!!! haha. I can't do bottle releases though, too much waiting in lines! I had blend 2 and 3 at their anniversary, and both were great, didn't get 1 though!
Haha, I really am just torturing myself. One of the guys in my bottle share got strawberry Broadacres in a trade, so I got to try that last week.
That one's definitely a winner. My thing with bottle sales, etc, is that I can just go to the brewery any time I want and get the beers on draft, I don't really see much reason to pay MORE than that for a bottle. I usually want to drink stuff at home from bottles that I can't just drive to. I know that doesn't work in this situation for you, haha, but that's where my head's at a bit
No, I totally get that. I buy bottles if it's something I can't get on draft or something I can save to either age for myself or possibly trade. I trade a lot so I like having a decent selection of stuff that I can put up. Though I only ever get stuff I like and will age well, that way anything I don't trade I can just enjoy in the future. I hear you on bottle lines though, I try to avoid them whenever possible. I usual only pick up stuff that I know I can go a couple hours after release and will still be around after the line has died down.
Has anyone had River Horse from NJ? I really enjoy their Belgian Freeze and Tripel but can only get it when I go home. It's not available south of Delaware.
Had 2 at dinner before the IIOI show and had to seriously cool off and drink some water before we headed out or else I was gonna be in serious trouble. 11.5%. Good lord.
