Haha, from last night. I always forget to check-in to beers on Untappd on a lot of nights and find myself checking in the next morning and often worry what people think when they see me checking in at 8 a.m.
Went into a local beer store on a whim and they had a great selection. Was pleasantly surprised! Grabbed some Lawsons Triple Sunshine and Equilibrium Energy Equals
Schilling is a top 5 brewery I want to go to. Their beers that we get here are fantastic, their IG pictures of their spot looks incredible and the owners are from Michigan.
Bottle Logic is doing a full pop-punk/emo based weekend complete with new beers, might have to stop by to check it out
Tired Hands announced that the OG Milkshakes are back, in collab with Omnipollo. I know Omni took a pretty hard stance after the allegations against TH's shitty owner (and janitor), so idk what it means that they're back to working with them. Murky situation overall because a complete boycott would put a lot of people who didn't have anything to do with the situation (or even harassed by Jean themselves) out of work.
As far as I know he was, just with (allegedly) no direct dealing with staff. So still profiting off of the company. Idk if Omni joining back up means something happened behind the scenes
One time I was at tired hands and my wife forgot her ID so I asked my friend Dave in Richmond to call Jean who then a told the manager working that my wife was cool to drink
god damn edit: Link is being weird, it’s the Imprint Collab boxes. Instagram has been fucking with their account recently
Instagram seems to be messing with a lot of brewery’s posts, same thing has been happening with Evil Twin. got to Other Half for their 8th Anniversary tapping - all really solid stuff. both of the East and West collab IPA’s were highlights, along with the stouts.
Instagram embeds having issues, but two more bottle logic themed beers announced for the event, well one beer one seltzer
I need a new stout/porter recommendation. Big Bad Baptist from Epic has been my favorite for awhile now but I feel its time to branch out.
Not the biggest stout fan but there's a stout/porter fest in Tulsa that I've been looking at going to. https://www.facebook.com/events/128..."surface":"bookmark"}],"ref_notif_type":null}
Wife surprised me with a trip to a local brewery having a Valentines event. They had a special chocolate cherry stout which was like drinking those alcohol candies. Interesting, but I preferred their NEIPA.
It’s Sf beer week, and I went to Lambic day at an awesome beer bar called Gourmet Haus Staudt. So many good beers but my stomach’s feeling a little unsettled from all that acid.
Popped open my first home-brewed beer for the game... a Northern Brewing IPA kit. Not bad... a bit of sediment at the bottom of the bottle but tastes pretty good for trying it for the first time. FLg9cabWQAwsG0s
I imagine you’ll get sediment in every home brew. Just be gentle when you pour your bottles. Look in to cold crashing to clear up your beer and just generally yielding less by not bottling stuff towards the bottom.
Anyone venture out into the world for Pliny the Younger? Two beer bars here are doing releases today.
