Wish I wasn't 4 hours away. Like 2.5 I could justify up and back in the same day but 4 hours each way is too much for that.
I’ve had Treehouse once and it’s still the best beers I’ve ever had. Wish I was able to get it all the time.
Sante Adairius is opening a tasting room in Oakland, taking over The Trappist’s space, one of my favorite beer bars. Bittersweet, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t excited to have closer access to Sante beers.
I got the okay from Jono Diener to call our baltic porter that'll come out in 2022 Skoots as my final contribution to my current job before switching industries. Hopefully my boss follows through!
Had Tree House Nascent Truth (imperial stout aged in Elijah Craig barrels) last night and it was fantastic, thickest beer I’ve ever had. I was surprised how mild the bourbon was while still being totally present. I’m likely moving out towards Worcester when my current lease is up and I can’t wait to be closer to Tree House, my bank account will be less excited though
I need to get some of this. Skoots is my favorite Swellers song because of the meaning, and you’re involved with the beer so I definitely need it haha
Haha I’ll definitely snag multiple six packs regardless, but I’ll grab you a sixer. It’s a pub beer so it’ll not be in a cool label or anything.
I’m cool with that! Just knowing what it’s about is good enough regardless of label. Hell yeah Mike get the bag. Hope it treats you well.
I had Julius and one of their pale ales (can't remember the name) on NYE and honestly i didn't find it that remarkable. *Ducks*
I thought Julius was good, but it didn’t wow me. Only had it one time. IPAs are not my go-to style though.
I get it, but I also don’t get it. What are y’all reasons for going a month without alcohol? Genuinely curious. If it’s for health, I think focusing on exercising and eating better is far more important than not enjoying a few beers a few times per week. That’s just me and no judgement to anyone and if it’s for personal reasons, I respect that too. But I have always been curious about the Dry January (or any other month).
I'm doing dry until my birthday in March. Definitely health reasons. And one beer turns into four very quickly and at 16 oz 7-8 %, it's a lot. So not having any just works better for me.
Definitely health with a side of money-saving. To be specific: it introduces a brief deficit in my usual caloric intake. I drink very regularly and dropping a couple hundred calories week after week does a lot for my waistline and puts some dollars back in my bank account.
Anyone in here from the Minneapolis area? Heading out there at the end of the month to visit @Paulie and wondering what's new and worth checking out since the last time I was out there in 2015.
I’m like 3 months late but I bought a Rochester Mills 12 Day of Christmas pack today. I told myself a few years ago I was never gonna buy it again but I wasn’t feeling anything else and it’s only $30. Really only looking forward to the Cookies N Cream stout.
