wow big yikes I just read the inquirer article about it. It's amazing how plausible/normal a lot of those revelations are if u have spent any time at all working in food industry. I guess it should have been a no brainer that craft beer has a similar culture problem if not worse but I never really stopped to think about it
Yeah it stinks. He/his wife (who’d threaten people who spoke out) are still technically the owners which I feel weird about, but they have enough workers there who still get money when I buy from them. It’s an ugly situation.
Oh great to hear. I loved the old space, it was so cool and felt like you were in the know by having hand pumped milds in the living room of some old house. I can’t wait to check out the new space. They make ipas because they have to but their traditional English and French beers are the best.
The saison was the best I had tonight. You absolutely lose a bit by not having the atmosphere but the beer is the same
Went down for their opening night and loved it. Going to miss the house so much though. And the food.
theres a brewery not too far from here i went to once that was basically a haunted house. forget what its called. it was cool, had solid beer and food but at the same time the setting bugged me out a little. i like the idea of a brewery in a house hat doesnt look haunted af too
Local shop was having a growler blow out today. 9.99 for 64 oz of 2018 BCBS. If I don’t come back you know why.
so i visited treehouse for the first time and goddamn makes me wish i was still a masshole. 10 times bigger then i pictured and still packed. cant even imagine how much money those folks are making jfc
Also heady must be kept cold. I feel like a lot of beers if they were cold, not stored cold, then become cold again, they are usually like 80-90% as good. If heady goes through that it's undrinkable imo.
I haven’t had either in a couple of years, but I remember liking focal more too. Then I drunkenly bought a tin tacker of it a week later lol
Kinda hoped this was a bigger difference from the original, but still good because the original is good.
