Apart from Victory, any other Philly breweries you recommend? I am going to be there for work 11/2-11/6.
I'm not a huge fan of Philly breweries other than tired hands. There's yards and evil genius bit both are average. You should def go to Monks for a great beer selection. I'd you're into liquor and cocktails hit up Philadelphia distilling
If you're near any Aldi, their holiday beer advent calendar comes out Nov 3 (as well as many other delicious looking ones). advent-calendars
My obligatory "cider not beer" post but i got this today and it's rly good My bf got the Wyder's Prickly Pineapple and I'm not usually a huge pineapple cider person (my frame of reference being Ace) but it was really good

Damn. Folksbier in Brooklyn just abruptly shut down: https://www.reddit.com/r/nycbeer/comments/qgc6d1/folksbier_closed/
Yup. I am super bummed about it because it is (was?) my favorite NYC brewery. Odd they scrapped all of their social media and website. Would have expected a more proper goodbye.
Oh, I bet that's actually pretty good. I remember the original being one of their better canned offerings.
I'm not entirely surprised, I really feel like the craft beer boom is on it's downslide very quickly. Aside from just naturally passing it's peak, the rise of seltzer and canned cocktails has surely hurt a ton of independent breweries
