De Garde in Tillamook is great if you like wild ales. Otherwise, I’ve heard pretty good things about Pelican.
There’s a brewery in northern Michigan that does a pig roast each year and then they use the skull in a Porter that makes it a smoked Porter. Smoky beers can be fantastic. We had an oak-smoked sour that tasted like bacon and lemonade.
I made pan-seared scallops with a lemon caper sauce and grilled asparagus with eastern Mediterranean spice mix for dinner. Paired it with Oxbow’s harvest ale, it was pretty perfect. So delicious I forgot to snap a pic.
Right Brain. It’s called Mangalista Pig Porter. I don’t know if it’s still in production but they did it yearly for a while.
Yesterday there was a big Ale Apothecary drop in New York City. It will be nice to find but I am guessing it’s severely marked up.
Convinced my mom to stop and get me some treehouse on her way to the cape today, can’t wait for it to all come on sunday!
