Beer: Zillicoah, the taco truck there is good too. Food: Buxton Hall BBQ Hike: chimney rock or three falls
Tried getting some Treehouse this morning but had an event and missed the window opening up... drove by anyways on the way home and was just told Fri-Sunday only for the time being and in a small number of availability, so, trying again tomorrow.

So my wife and I booked a B&B for our (second?) honeymoon right outside of Acadia National Park. Anyone know of good breweries in that part of Maine? Fogtown seems close and promising.
I am not a beer guy at all, and this last weekend I went to a minor league baseball game and my buddy handed me a beer and said it would be the best beer I've ever had, and it was. Finally a beer I liked. It was Coors Banquet. So I too am somewhat of a beer snob.
Parking situation was already getting a bit crazy when we went over… but once we parked it was quick. Clicked the “I am here” button in the email they send after you put your order in and they rolled it out to the car. Drive thru only for the foreseeable time as there’s still a bit of construction actively going on. They had maybe 40-50 picnic style tables in the spot between the building and the first house so they’ll definitely be a lot of seating when they do start in person pours.
Maine rules. Spent the weekend in Portland and did more eating than drinking, but picked these up on the way in and had a fantastic afternoon at Allagash on Saturday. Had this and grabbed a bottle of it to go (even with the pandemic, absolutely absurd that one of the greatest sour brewers in New England could release an anniversary beer in July of 2020 and have it still available in May 2021). Excellent beer, honestly better than anything I had at Oxbow right before which were all excellent, too. Have a few four packs of tree house at home and forgot them on the way back to Boston :(
honestly incredible. 14% Imperial Stout with Decaf Coffee, Toasted Oat Milk, Vanilla Bean, Caramel, and Sea Salt collab with Sey Coffee
Popped open one tonight... this thing is spicy. Going to Portland Wed/Thursday, really excited to go to Allagash. Any other good breweries up their that one should check out?
Across the street from Allagash are 4 other breweries, they're all good but I'd specifically recommend Battery Steel as the best among them. Bissell Bros is the go-to IPA spot but as of this weekend were still closed for anything but take away. Have heard Goodfire is the best for IPAs but haven't been. Oxbow for sour beer. Lobster roll truck at Allagash is a must not miss.
I still have yet to have a lobster roll... maybe this is the week that finally happens. Appreciate that.
That's a great place to try one for the first time - you can do a flight (literally that's what they call it haha) of 3 minis: one Maine style cold w/ mayo, CT style warm w/ butter, and "picnic style" (cold lobster topped with celery salt and cole slaw).
That sounds like maybe what we should do... none of us in our family eat seafood outside of canned tuna, but we feel we gotta at least try it while we're still living in NE. How much was that?
